Journal Entry

Subject: Sakura
Race: Claims to be human... But she has pink hair.
Also a ninja. Alien ninjas may be dangerous. Says she had Chakra but lost it here.
Requires further study.

Also the house-demons have been quiet... Must be plotting something.

If you get killed, does someone replace you?

[identity profile] regionseizer.livejournal.com 2009-05-02 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
It's not exactly easy for us to die.

[identity profile] paranormalpi.livejournal.com 2009-05-04 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
So is a nation defined by the land where the nation is, or to the people with a national identity? And you said nations that o longer exist still have... umm one of you?

[identity profile] regionseizer.livejournal.com 2009-05-04 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
Both? I mean, were not really sure ourselves.

Not always. Uh. Roma Antiqua disappeared when his empire fell, but I'm still here, even after the Reunification.

What's with all the questions, huh?

[identity profile] paranormalpi.livejournal.com 2009-05-04 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm, interesting.

I'm a paranormal investigator. And I've never met anyone who's claimed to be a nation before, I want to make sure I understand it correctly.

[identity profile] regionseizer.livejournal.com 2009-05-04 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I figured something along those lines, but what's your name?

[identity profile] regionseizer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
Hah! What were your parents smoking when they named you?

[identity profile] paranormalpi.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
No idea. They should have been original and attached a 'p' to a neighbor's name, like some other people.

[identity profile] regionseizer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, touchy. Mind you, that's in English. He actually spells his name as, "Россия."

[identity profile] paranormalpi.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
(Yeah, but I think Dib only knows English and possibly Spanish; unless you count computer languages.)

[identity profile] regionseizer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
(Oh, too bad. Gil's fairly multilingual. It comes from living in Europe, I suppose.)

[identity profile] paranormalpi.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
(Problem wth puns; they never translate well.)

[identity profile] regionseizer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
(Shame. Excluding the fact that German humor is a very Special thing.)

Anyways, what were the characters doing?

[identity profile] paranormalpi.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
(Oh well, I'm not sure humor always translates. Except slapstick.. that seems to be universal. I guess because it's nonverbal...)

I think Dib was mocking the simialrity between names.

[identity profile] regionseizer.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
(Yeah. Something like that. And don't get me started on period specific jokes.)

[identity profile] paranormalpi.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
(Yeah, I get the feeling Aristophanes would be a great deal funnier if I knew the politicians he was mocking.)

But honestly, I think my father must have thought it was too much of a hassle to have more than one syllable in a name.

[identity profile] regionseizer.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
(Haha, exactly.)

What a lazy bum.

[identity profile] paranormalpi.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Well, he was supposed to be the greatest scientist in the world... I think he would have fogotten our names if they were longer...

[identity profile] regionseizer.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. She's not a "paranormal investigator" too, is she?

[identity profile] paranormalpi.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
No, she knows Zim's an alien, but she doesn't care about much besides video games.

[identity profile] paranormalpi.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 05:10 am (UTC)(link)
Now I'm not even sure what you're going 'riiight' about.
